Our guest speakers shared fantastic insights at the third event of our Ireland PRIDE Month series, showcasing the strides made by the LGBTQIA+ community in Ireland, as well as the challenges still faced.

Thank you to our MC and gay rights activist Rory O'Neill (Aka Panti Bliss) and panelists including: The Community Foundation for Ireland CEO, Denise Charlton; Transgender Equality Network Ireland Operations Director, Gordon Grehan, who recently worked with the Central Bank of Ireland on a gender identity workplace policy; Dr Maurice J Casey, Historian-in-Residence at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum and curator of the 'Out in the World' exhibition and; Walkers Chief Human Resources Officer, Claire Townshend (nee Gathercole) FCIPD.

Prior to the panel discussion, we listened to an excellent discussion with former Irish international hockey player and LGBTQIA role model, Nikki Symmons (She/Her) - In Conversation with D & I Committee Members Dragos Savacenco, Michael Dyulgerov and Fiona Boland (née Gleeson). As D & I Chair, I opened the event discussion and Employment Partner and D&I Committee Member, Susan Battye, gave the closing comments. Thanks also to local D & I Committee Member, Celine Kenealy, for her support of the event.

Our Dublin office PRIDE Month events also involved a staff Rainbow Run in support of The Community Foundation for Ireland Pride Fund and a virtual 'Out in the World' talk with Dr Maurice J Casey and HR Director Frank McCracken,  followed by a self-guided visit to the exhibition at EPIC.

We wish to thank our speakers again for their time and our staff for embracing PRIDE Month and engaging with our events so as to build a greater understanding of the issues affecting the LGBTQIA+ community. Please see below a short video montage of our staff enjoying the celebrations.
