About Me

I have been providing legal advice in relation to the financial services sector for over 15 years and have experience across a broad spectrum of legal issues affecting the investment funds industry. I specialise in advising managers of private equity and hedge funds across the region including in Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Australia. 

I work extensively with asset managers, as well as their onshore counsel, advising not only on formation and structuring, but also in relation to acquisition and disposal transactions, restructures, fund financing and fund related disputes. In the context of these areas, I have developed strong expertise in the venture capital, and the legal aspects of cryptocurrencies.

Before joining Walkers I had been a partner at Maples and Calder in Hong Kong for several years. Prior to that I had the opportunity to gain experience onshore as a senior associate in the Investment Funds team of the Hong Kong office of Sidley Austin where I worked extensively with corporate, partnership, trust and LLC structures. 

Before moving to Hong Kong I was a senior associate with Gilbert + Tobin in Sydney.I have been fortunate enough to be recommended for consecutive years in various legal directories such as IFLR1000, Who's Who Legal, Chambers Asia-Pacific, and Legal 500.
